What is Easter without Easter eggs?

The holiday would not be complete without  the discovery of brightly colored eggs and Cathedral City leaders understand that.

Every child will have the opportunity to collect eggs — and win a bicycle.

Easter Kidapalooza featuring 25,000 Easter Eggs is scheduled for Sunday, April 1 from 12 noon to 3 pm. Bring the kids to Cathedral City’s Town Square Park in front of City Hall for an event that is all about kids. The event is sponsored by Honda of the Desert.

The schedule of activities includes:

From noon to 3 p.m. children will have the opportunity to enjoy the fun of multiple bouncy houses surrounding Cathedral City’s Fountain of Life area.

At 12:30 p.m. – there will be an Easter Egg Hunt with 25,000 eggs. ittle ones between 2 and 5 years of age will go first in their own area. Once the little ones are done, kids up to age 12 can participate in a separate Easter egg hunt with the ability to win four bicycles.

Four of the 25,000 eggs will have a special message inside the egg notifying the child of winning a bike. Don’t be tardy as 25,000 eggs will go quickly.

Bring your own basket for gathering and hauling the eggs or get a free reusable shopping bag at the event.

Other activities include taking a picture with the Easter Bunny. Several local businesses will offer free candy for the kids as well.

In addition to Honda of the Desert, other sponsors include Renova Energy, Frazier Pest Control, Ace Hardware Cathedral City, Quick Quack Car Wash and the City of Cathedral City.
