Palm Springs to celebrate “All American Fourth of July Celebration Week” of Family-Friendly Festivities, July 3 – 7

PALM SPRINGS —In this community, Independence Day is celebrated for more than a single day. Get ready for a series of free, fun, and patriotic events as Palm Springs Parks and Recreation once again unveils its wildly popular “All American Fourth of July Celebration Week” of family-friendly festivities, July 3-7.

It all starts with a FREE KidsFest and celebration of newly installed playground equipment on July 3 in Victoria Park, brought to Palm Springs residents by Measure J tax dollars. Then as the week continues enjoy a series of free movies and concerts, a cool pool party — and of course, Power baseball and the City’s All American Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular on July 4 at Palm Springs Stadium. Fireworks start at 9:15 sharp!

Here is a rundown of festivities planned through the week in the City of Palm Springs:

  • Wednesday, July 3, KidsFest and ribbon-cutting celebration for new Measure J playground equipment, 11 am – 3 pm, Victoria Park, 2744 N. Via Miraleste, featuring live music, water activities, interactive games, and food.
  • Thursday, July 4, Family-Friendly Pool Party at the Palm Springs Swim Center, 405 S. Pavilion Way, featuring water games, inflatable slides, pool side music, and great food, 3 p.m. – until the fireworks conclude. Watch the City’s “All American Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular” at Palm Springs Stadium from the pool.
  • Thursday, July 4, Palm Springs Power Baseball “All Stars Summer Collegiate Game,” Palm Springs Stadium, 1901 Baristo Road, 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 4, Concert in Sunrise Park, featuring Fortunate Son, a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band, Sunrise Park, 480 S. Sunrise Way, 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 4, “All American Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular,” Palm Springs Stadium, 1901 Baristo Road, Fireworks start 9:15 p.m.
  • Friday, July 5, Family-Friendly Dive in Movie Night “KungFu Panda 4” at Palm Springs Swim Center, 405 S. Pavilion Way. Pool opens at 7 p.m. and movie begins at dusk.
  • Saturday, July 6, Concert in the Downtown Park, featuring K-Tell All-Stars, 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Palm Springs Downtown Park adjacent to the Forever Marilyn Sculpture.
  • Sunday, July 7, Family-Friendly Movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” in Ruth Hardy Park, 700 Tamarisk Road, Food vendors and park games begin at 6 p.m. Movie starts at 7:30 pm.
