All College of Desert Campuses Closed Monday, August 21

 

PALM DESERT – Tropical Storm Hilary has battered and flooded the area, including some College of the Desert (COD) campus facilities. As a result, all College of the Desert sites will be closed Monday, August 21.

No business will be conducted at any location, with the exception of COD’s Maintenance Team and Campus Safety Team, who will help assess the damage and determine any challenges to student or workspaces. College officials are urging everyone to remain off campus.

College of the Desert currently has a lot of water and debris on site. Additionally, the Palm Desert campus has experienced some water intrusion in key areas. The most important priority is being ready for instruction next week, so COD resources will be focused on getting those spaces ready. Regular business is expected to resume on Tuesday.

The first day of classes is August 28.
