More Growth for Palm Springs Airport: Allegiant Air Announces Service to Three New Cities with Intro Fares as low as $39

PALM SPRINGS — Palm Springs International Airport keeps growing and this time it is with three new nonstop routes to Des Moines, Iowa, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Provo, Utah on Allegiant Air.

To celebrate the announcement Allegiant is offering introductory fares as low as $39 one way! Introductory fares are limited and must be booked at Allegiant.com by August 11, 2021 and flown by May 17, 2022.

The new seasonal routes to Des Moines and Indianapolis will operate on Thursdays and Sundays starting November 18, 2021, and the seasonal service to Provo will operate on Fridays and Mondays starting November 19, 2021. All three routes will be operated on one of Allegiant’s Airbus A320 family aircraft offering 156 to 186 seats. Service to Des Moines is scheduled to operate into March 2022, and flights to Indianapolis and Provo will operate into April 2022.

With these new route additions Allegiant will now offer nonstop service to seven cities from Palm Springs. Their recent announcement of Nashville in June, which starts on November 17, 2022, was added to their existing routes of Bellingham, WA., Eugene, OR., and Boise, ID.

“A hallmark of Allegiant’s service is to connect travelers to warmer destinations where they can enjoy a variety of outdoor leisure activities,” Drew Wells, Allegiant’s senior vice president of revenue and network planning, said in a prepared statement. “And we’ve continued that tradition with this expansion by giving customers more affordable, nonstop options to visit Florida, Arizona and California during the fall and winter seasons.”

“We are excited that Allegiant continues to grow at PSP and is adding new air service from Des Moines, Provo, and Indianapolis to Greater Palm Springs,” Scott White, President and CEO of the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau, said in a prepared statement. “We invite Iowans, Utahns, and Hoosiers to leave the winter chill and escape to endless sunshine, mountain views and beautiful desert landscape.”

Palm Springs now has nonstop service to 34 cities during the tourist season and 12 cities year-round. For more information about the airlines that serve Palm Springs and the routes they fly, click here.
