The Automobile Club of Southern California’s branches are now open, providing a wide range of member services, including automotive, DMV, domestic and international travel planning, auto, home and life insurance and notary services, in addition to providing courtesy maps and travel guides for summer road trips.  The Auto Club provides service to the state’s 13 southern most counties, from San Luis Obispo, Visalia, and Bishop to San Diego and Chula Vista.

Due to social distancing rules, the Auto Club cannot perform DMV/VIN verifications. However, members can use the Auto Club for the following DMV services:

  • Vehicle registration renewal
  • Duplicate registration and stickers
  • Used vehicle transfer of ownership (vehicle and off-road vehicle)
  • New and used boat transfers
  • Release of liability
  • Replacement license plates
  • Disabled person parking placards
  • Disabled person license plates

“We are excited to be able to offer nearly all of our Auto Club and AAA member services,” said the Auto Club’s Pamela Shepherd, vice president of branch operations. “We are welcoming members back and will provide them with the level of service they have come to expect while also following CDC guidelines for health and safety.”

Social distancing is highlighted with signage, floor markers and trained AAA Safety Ambassadors to help members and employees follow recommended social distancing practices.

Employees are wearing face masks and gloves.  In addition, members are required to wear a face covering while in a AAA branch.

Plexiglass shields are in place between members and employees at work stations and markers  place members six feet from the employee serving them.
