Republican Women’s Group Also Speaks Out About Trump Endorsement Snub
RIVERSIDE — Sheriff Chad Bianco has carried water for Donald Trump for years, so it was understandable that le he found the Trump endorsement snub both disappointing and shocking.
President Donald Trump endorsed Republican Steve Hilton for California governor early Monday morning a Truth Social post, calling Hilton a “fine man,” saying he can “turn it around.”
Hilton, a former Fox News host who also advised Conservative leaders in the U.K., is running in a crowded race to succeed Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom. Under California’s primary system, the top two finishers advance to November regardless of party.
Hilton faces Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco for Republican support.
Trump’s endorsement will bring Republican attention and money to Hilton.
Bianco did not get irate or throw a tantrum. Instead, he recorded his reaction and posted it to one of his social media channels. He was cool, calm and dignified. The snub appeared to energize Bianco. You may watch his full statement here.
Trump’s endorsement snub clearly hasn’t dissuaded some of his earliest and die-hard supporters such as Dan Ball, host of “Real America” an opinionated Conservative talk show. His show airs on One America Network.
“As always, I respect my President’s decision, but on this race, I’m sticking with Chad! ” Ball told Uken Report in a text messuage. “I endorsed him the day he announced and I always stand by my friends,
Joy Miedecke, president of the East Valley Republican Women Patriots, told Uken Report that her organization has endorsed Chad Bianco for governor and is standing by that endorsement. The group is the largest Republican women’s organization of its kind in the United States—
“We are proud of our decision and feeling a little sad about Trump‘s decision but I know that he did it based on his knowledge. Unfortunately, President Trump cannot be with the people of California and listen to all of our information on why we have decided on Chad Bianco and not Steve Hilton. It is unfortunate, but I don’t think it’s going to make that much of a difference as Chad has a huge following of people among those that have already made their decision. We are very excited about this election, and we feel that we are going to win with Chad Bianco.”
