Career Fair Set for County Sheriff’s Office

Poised to hire, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department on June 15 will host a Career Fair. It is part of a recruitment and hiring effort Sheriff Chad Bianco announced shortly after taking office.

In March, Sheriff Bianco told the Riverside Press Enterprise that he was looking to bring on 400 correctional deputies and 256 regular deputies as quickly as he can. Riverside County is one of the fastest-growing counties in California.

The Career Fair will be held at the Ben Clark Training Center, 16791 Davis Avenue, Riverside CA, 92518. The event will start at 8 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. It is intended for all ages.

Positions currently listed on the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department website include support positions in the clinical, accounting, forensics, and corrections departments.

Other open positions include dispatch communications, lateral and pre-service, reserve deputy,, deputy sheriff and correctional officer.

Sheriff’s Department members from various assignments will be onsite at the Career Fair to interact with the attendees. Department members will be able to provide information and exciting details about their careers. Some of the specialized teams highlighted will be SWAT, Dive Team, Hazardous Device Team, Forensics, Defensive Tactics, Aviation, Corrections and many more. K-FROG radio station will also be present, playing live music and raffling off concert tickets.

Sheriff’s Recruitment staff will be available to answer any questions and explain how to get started with a new career working for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Written examinations and the physical agility test for Deputy Sheriff and Correctional Deputy will be administered during the Career Fair. Interested applicants who want to test at this event can pre-register by clicking here. Walk-ins are also welcome to test and will be assisted on a first come first serve basis.
