Independence Day celebration Set for Saturday, July 1 at Bagdouma Park
COACHELLA – The City of Coachella will be hosting its annual Independence Day celebration at Bagdouma Park on Saturday, July 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This free family event will offer guests the excitement of onsite games, carnival rides, a variety of local food vendors, and live music topped off by a fireworks grand finale at 9 p.m.
“This event promises to be another spectacular tribute to our freedom with dazzling fireworks, upbeat music and an overall great time for all who attend,” said Mayor Steven Hernandez.
Attendees of all ages will enjoy a variety of fun activity options throughout the evening. Interactive game booths will provide opportunities to win free prizes, and popular carnival rides such as Round Up, Swing and the Frog will be returning. Guests will also enjoy live music from Avenida Music, a local band who plays a diverse mix of music, including Classic Rock, Rock en Español, Motown, Funk, Cumbia, Top 40 and more.
“As a Councilmember, I look forward to witnessing the enthusiasm and joy that our Independence Day event brings to our residents,” Councilmember Stephanie Virgen said in a statement.
