‘Coachella Valley Has Talent’ presented by the City of Rancho Mirage Cultural Commission

RANCHO MIRAGE — If you can sing, dance, perform stand up, juggle, or showcase any other talent, “Coachella Valley Has Talent” wants you.

The City of Rancho Mirage Cultural Commission and Desert Theatricals, LLC have announced auditions for the inaugural event.

Acts from Coachella Valley residents ages 16 and up are eligible to submit a 2- to 5-minute digital video that best shows their talent. Performers selected will take part in the one-night event on Saturday, May 6, at 7 p.m. at the Rancho Mirage Amphitheater. Local celebrity judges and a guest Emcee Joe Smith, a former NBC Palm Springs anchor, will be guides for an evening featuring some of the community’s most talented residents.

The judges will award three prizes for first place, $1,000; second place, $500; and third place, $250.

Acts can include singers, dancers, dance troupes, solo pianists/musicians (no bands), or special acts (e.g., acrobats, juggling, magicians, skaters, comedians).

Online application is required, and all singers MUST sing with a live pianist in application video (selected performers will be provided with a piano accompanist for day-of rehearsal and performance). All performances will be with a live pianist unless your specialty act has recorded music.
