Development Dashboard Details Projects, Streamlines Public Access

INDIO — This city, the largest in the Coachella Valley. has multiple exciting projects on the table. If you’ve had trouble keeping up, you can now quickly get caught up to speed with a new, interactive development dashboard.

The city’s Community Development Department launched an interactive map with locations and information for more than a dozen exciting new projects coming to Indio, including shops, restaurants, housing and city amenities.

The Development Dashboard will be continuously updated as new projects are announced.

“This webpage offers a real-time look at the quality projects coming to Indio and attract other businesses and developers to invest in our up-and-coming community,” Kevin Snyder, the city’s director of Community Development said in a statement.

The Development Dashboard includes a list of 19 projects with clickable links that show Geographic Information System (GIS) maps as well as planning documents such as site maps, plans, descriptions, elevations, architectural drawings and City staff contacts.

Included in the list are plans for a proposed new City Hall and Library on the existing Civic Center Campus and the Public Safety Campus with fire and police headquarters and dispatch. Other projects: Indio Grand Market Place, Raising Canes, Regency Theater and Tower Market.

“The dashboard is one more tool for Indio’s next act as a business-friendly, vital community with abundant services and amenities to benefit current and future residents,” Snyder said.
