LifeStream is seeking people to donate blood. The nonprofit organization provides blood products and services to more than 80 Southern California hospitals in six counties. To fulfill patient need, LifeStream must collect 500 blood donations daily.
As incentive to donate, LifeStream is offering donors in some locations a free ticket (valid Jan. 17 or 20) to the 60th Anniversary Desert Classic golf tournament at PGA West La Quinta.
You may donate at the following locations:
- Caliente Springs Resort, 70200 Dillon Road, Desert Hot Springs, Saturday, Jan. 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those who donate receive a free ticket (valid January 17 or 20) to the 60th Anniversary Desert Classic golf tournament at PGA West La Quinta. Donors also receive free cholesterol screening and Gift of Life Donor Loyalty points that may be redeemed in the online donor store at www.LStream.org.
- Our Savior’s Community Lutheran Church, 1020 E. Ramon Road, Palm Springs, Sunday, Jan. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donors receive free cholesterol screening and Gift of Life Donor Loyalty points that may be redeemed in the online donor store at www.LStream.org.
- Trader Joe’s, 67-720 E. Palm Canyon, Cathedral City, Friday, Jan. 4 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donors receive a free ticket (valid Jan. 17 or 20) to the 60th Anniversary Desert Classic golf tournament at PGA West La Quinta. Those who donate also receive free cholesterol screening and Gift of Life Donor Loyalty points that may be redeemed in the online donor store at www.LStream.org.
- Palm Desert Civic Center Park, 43900 San Pablo Ave., Saturday, Jan. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This drive is in conjunction with the LiveWell Festival. Donors receive a free ticket (valid Jan. 17 or 20) to the 60th Anniversary Desert Classic golf tournament at PGA West La Quinta. Donors also receive free cholesterol screening and Gift of Life Donor Loyalty points that may be redeemed in the online donor store at www.LStream.org.
Healthy individuals at least 15 years of age may donate blood. Everyone under 17 years of age must provide LifeStream with written parental consent. Parent consent forms are available at any donor center, community blood drive or at www.LStream.org. All prospective donors should be free of infections or illness, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not be at risk for AIDS or hepatitis.
