Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce Strengthens Business-Education Partnership with New Offices at College of the Desert Indio Campus
INDIO — The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon cutting and open house to celebrate the opening of its new offices located on the College of the Desert Indio Campus. This milestone represents a notable expansion of the Chamber’s presence within the valley, strengthening its connection to both the business community and local students.
The event brought together local leaders, educational partners and community stakeholders to commemorate the heightened focus on collaboration between business and education, supporting long-term regional workforce development.

Speakers included Neil Lingle of College of the Desert; Lindsay Grant, Regional Board Chair for the GCVCC and representative of 379 Enterprise Management Corporation, the business management arm of the Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians; and GCVCC CEO Brandon Marley. Each shared remarks highlighting the importance of the new partnership between the Chamber and the college.
Representatives from Cathedral City, Coachella, Indian Wells, Indio and La Quinta presented certificates of recognition. Additional certificates were provided by the offices of Congressman Ken Calvert, Assemblymember Greg Wallis, Senator Alex Padilla and Riverside County Supervisor V. Manuel Perez.
“We are so incredibly proud to now call the College of the Desert Indio Campus our home,” Grant said. “Thank you to President Val Martinez Garcia and the entire College of the Desert administration for their vision and commitment to fostering a stronger connection between education and industry.
