Casa Sienna is an Affordable Senior Housing Development
COACHELLA — Ground will be broken today, May 14, for of Casa Sienna Senior Housing. A groundbreaking ceremony is set for 8:30 a.m. at 1177 Sixth St.
Casa Sienna is a 53-unit, four-story affordable housing community with 4,700 square feet of commercial space, designed for seniors aged 62 and older.
Residents will have access to supportive services, nearby transit, medical facilities, parks, retail services, a library, and community resources located within walking distance of the site.
It will include 46 one-bedroom, one bathroom units and seven two-bedroom, one-bathroom units.
Prices start at approximately $587 for a one-bedroom unit and $698 for a two-bedroom unit.
Rents depend on what the tenant’s percent of Area Median Income is.
Construction is expected to start in May with completion expected in October 2027.
Casa Sienna part of the Coachella Prospera project, funded by the Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Grant Program, provided by the California Strategic Growth Council and managed by the California Department of Conservation.
