Indio Campus Welcomes Oasis Café & Coffee Bar

Oasis Café & Coffee Bar Open to General Public

 

PALM DESERT – College students — and members of the public — have an all-new hangout to get caffeinated. A new eatery, known as Oasis Café and Coffee Bar, is joining the heart of downtown Indio on College of the Desert’s newly expanded Indio campus. Students and the public alike are welcome to dine in or take out a great selection of American cuisine options for breakfast and lunch. There is something for everyone on this menu, including gluten-free, vegan or vegetarian options.

The City of Indio and College of the Desert held a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Attendees enjoyed a variety of samples from the menu, giving them a taste of what the café has to offer.

Designed with go-getters in mind, the menu offers a variety of healthful and delicious eats that are meant to fuel the mind and body so that even those who aren’t registered Roadrunners can still eat like one.

“Providing a place for community members to gather and share a meal goes hand-in-hand with our slogan ‘Your Community, Your College,’” said Jessica Enders, Director of Education Centers – East Valley. “It’s not just about providing our students with on-campus food options; it’s about creating a welcoming space for everyone in the community to gather, eat, and connect.”

Of course, a college café would be incomplete without some form of caffeine. The Oasis Coffee Bar serves Starbucks drinks with many of the coffeehouse’s most sought-after drinks headlining on the menu. However, if you don’t see the drink you’re looking for, just ask.

The Oasis Café and Coffee Bar can be found at 45524 Oasis St., Indio, CA 92201. Their hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
