Car-to-Car Shooting Leaves at Least 1 Injured

COACHELLA — About 9:30 a.m. on June 27, deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Thermal Station responded to a shooting between two vehicles in the 52000 block of Cesar Chavez Street, Sgt. David Koedyker wrote in a news release.

One vehicle, a silver Honda Civic, crashed as a result of the car-to-car shooting. The driver, a male juvenile, was found with several gunshot wounds and was flown to a local trauma center where he is currently being treated for his injuries.

Two unidentified subjects ran from the Honda after it crashed, one of whom is believed to have also been suffering from a gunshot injury, according to Koedyker.
