MSWD Field Operations Superintendent Jeff Nutter Honored at Big Heart Awards

DESERT HOT SPRINGS – Mission Springs Water District joined local leaders last week celebrating the everyday heroes of Desert Hot Springs during the Annual DHS Rotary Club Big Heart Awards Ceremony.
MSWD honoree Field Operations Superintendent, Jeff Nutter has shown incredible dedication through trying situations, tirelessly working after hours, and going above and beyond to ensure the community’s safety and well-being. With 30 years of unwavering service, Jeff has faced countless challenges, from fire hydrants dramatically sheared off by wayward vehicles in the dead of night to contractors accidentally digging into MSWD pipes, and even severe system damage caused by fierce weather.
“Jeff is an unsung hero for our community, always willing to go above and beyond,” said Marion Champion, MSWD Assistant General Manager. “For the past 30 years, he has dedicated himself to serving our customers and ensuring the safety of our drinking water. While his efforts may go unnoticed by some, they are deeply appreciated by all of us who benefit from his hard work and dedication.”
Jeff’s leadership, passion, and tireless work ethic truly embody the spirited essence of Rotary’s community service. Congratulations to all of the night’s honorees for your service and dedication to the MSWD community.
Jeff was not the only hero of the evening, the Rotary lifted up educators, businesses, and other public servants for their service above self.
