Steve-Kelly-KCOD

Steve Kelly

With the June 5 Primary less than a week away, who better to talk about potential winners, losers and outcomes with than Steve Kelly, a radio host and on-air talent with KCOD. He knows the political landscape of the desert region, the political players and the political winds.

With 20 years of experience in the market, Kelly has history, context and institutional knowledge. He has earned a reputation of being “tough but fair.”

He understands the hunger and thirst so many residents have for political fare and helps keep them well-fed.

You can find Kelly hosting the Coachella Valley Report at 4 p.m. on KCOD 1450 Palm Springs. KCOD (1450 AM) is a radio station licensed to Palm Springs. It serves the Coachella Valley area. The radio station is owned by College of the Desert.

He is a good listener who asks insightful questions.

For the second time, Kelly reached out to Uken Report to talk about the race for governor and U.S. Senate. Will Sen. Diane Feinstein pull out another victory?

Closer to our own backyard we discussed the Riverside County Fourth District Supervisor’s race, the controversial mailer Palm Desert City Councilmember Jan Harnik distributed, Supervisor V. Manuel “Manny” Perez’s surprise endorsement and so much more. Who has the edge to pull ahead in the Riverside County Sheriff’s race?

Kelly, always ready with that wrap-up question, asked what I deemed the biggest surprise of the political season. There were a few but one in particular rose to the top.

Kelly shared our interview with Uken Report. You can listen to this teaser but be sure to tune in to listen to his entire show on Saturday. Another of his guests will be Democratic Congressman and Dr. Raul Ruiz, who represents the 36th Congressional District. Ruiz is being challenged by five Republicans in the June 5 primary.

Also on Kelly’s show will be Morris R. Beschloss, a global economic analyst.
