Melissa Manchester to perform at LifeStream’s Thanks4Giving Gala on Nov. 11

SAN BERNARDINO  – Grammy Award-winner and multi-Academy Award-nominated artist Melissa Manchester will perform during LifeStream Blood Bank’s Thanks4Giving Gala on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa Rancho Mirage.

“Melissa Manchester is a legendary name in the music industry,” said Dr. Rick Axelrod, LifeStream’s president/CEO and medical director. “We are thrilled to have such a remarkable artist join us for our fundraising event. We always want it to be a night to remember for our guests, so we couldn’t be more excited for this special performance exclusively for our attendees.”

The evening will start with a reception at 5 p.m., followed by a dinner and program from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., where former mayor and current Palm Desert Councilmember Jan Harnik will receive LifeStream’s Humanitarian of the Year award in recognition of her years supporting LifeStream’s mission.

Individual tickets to the Thanks4Giving Gala are available for $350 each. Each ticket provides entry to the reception, dinner and program. Event information, tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available online at LStream.org/event/thanks4giving.

Proceeds from this year’s gala will help LifeStream cover the costs for its laboratory facilities renovation and expansion, including the construction of two new 1,300-cubic-foot walk-in freezers, which store life-saving blood products for local hospital patients.

LifeStream is a nonprofit blood bank that provides blood products and services to more than 80 Southern California hospitals and facilities, including Desert Regional Medical Center, Eisenhower Medical Center and JFK Memorial Hospital.
