PALM SPRINGS — Dr. Dean Bresciani, President of North Dakota State University (NDSU), will present Transforming Seasonal Economies at the 14th annual Greater Palm Springs Economic Summit on Thursday, Nov. 8.

Part of the Dr. Bresciani presentation will focus on the following:

• Discuss how downtown Fargo became a magnet for millennial entrepreneurs

• Expand on the impact of establishing 1Gbps bandwidth to get the renaissance started

• Detail how North Dakota State University broke into the world of significant research

• Creating regional benefits that outweigh unfavorable seasonal weather conditions

The Summit is hosted by the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership (CVEP) and presented by Desert Care Network: JFK Memorial Hospital, Desert Regional Medical Center, and Hi-Desert Medical Center. Bresciani, Ph.D., a Napa Valley California native, was named President of NDSU in 2010. Bresciani has an extensive background in strategic planning and has focused on enhancing the accessibility and quality of campus programs. He has been awarded numerous honors including being named a “Pillar of the Profession” by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.
