Get Behind-the-Scenes Look as MSWD Launches Public Facilities Tours
DESERT HOT SPRINGS — If you have ever wondered how Mission Springs Water District ensure your drinking water is safe, now is your chance. MSWD will begin public tours of its water and wastewater facilities, providing the community with a behind-the-scenes look at the critical processes that ensure safe, clean water for all.
Participants will have the opportunity to tour multiple MSWD facilities and learn about the journey of water from source to tap and see firsthand how wastewater is treated and returned to the environment safely. These guided tours aim to educate the public on water conservation, sustainability, and the technology that keeps our systems running efficiently.
“We are pleased to offer this unique experience to our community,” said MSWD Assistant General Manager Marion Champion. “Water is an essential resource, and this tour gives people a chance to understand the complex systems that provide safe drinking water and treat wastewater in an environmentally responsible way.”
