Delta Air Lines Adds Nonstop Service from Palm Springs to Austin, Texas

PALM SPRINGS — Nonstop access to Austin is returning to Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) — this time with Delta Air Lines, which continues to grow its presence in the Coachella Valley.

For the first time on Delta, seasonal nonstop service between Palm Springs and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) will launch this winter, reconnecting local travelers with one of the country’s most vibrant cities. The return of this route reflects strong and consistent demand from the Coachella Valley, and brings Delta’s total nonstop destinations from PSP to five.

“Delta continues to show its confidence in the Palm Springs market, and we’re glad to see them deepen their commitment to our destination,” Harry Barrett, Jr., Executive Director of Aviation, said in a statement. “This new service to Austin builds on a solid foundation of demand, and we’re pleased to see Delta step in to bring it back.”

The new Saturday-only service will run from Nov. 8, through April 25, 2026, operating during Palm Springs’ peak travel season. Flights will be operated aboard an Embraer E175 (ES5) aircraft, offering First Class, Comfort+, and Main Cabin seating.

The Delta flights will depart Austin at 10:57 a.m. Central Time, to arrive in Palm Springs at 11:22 a.m. Pacific Time, a roughly 2.5-hour flight. A return flight is scheduled to depart at 12:07 p.m. Pacific Time to arrive in Austin at 5:07 p.m. Central Time, a three-hour flight.

Palm Springs International Airport served more than 3.2 million passengers in 2024, making it a vital gateway for the Coachella Valley and beyond. Owned and operated by the City of Palm Springs, PSP is the region’s only commercial airport and the closest airport to Joshua Tree National Park. 13 airlines provide nonstop service to 31 airports during peak season with one-stop connections to more than 300 global cities.
