Robbery Suspects Detained for Loss of High-value Merchandise from Palm Desert Business

Julian Hermosillo, an 18-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was arrested Nov. 1 for robbery in connection with a Palm Desert robbery in October.
Hermosillo was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, Sgt. Rovann Cleveland reported.
On Nov. 1, members of the Riverside Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Division, served a search warrant at the 2500 block of Macy Street, San Bernardino, and the 800 block of 99th Street, Los Angeles. During the search warrant service, a fourth suspect was identified and arrested.
On October 18, members of the Riverside Sheriff’s Palm Desert Station, assisted by the Los Angeles Retail Crime Task Force, California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation, and the Office of Correctional Safety Fugitive Team, served four residential search warrants within the County of Los Angeles.
The search warrants stemmed from an extensive investigation into a robbery that occurred on October 5. resulting in a significant loss of high-value merchandise from a business in Palm Desert.
During the investigation, members of the Riverside Sheriff’s Office developed leads and located evidence that helped identify the suspects associated with the robbery and two residential burglaries. As a result, 24-year-old- Reymundo Garcia and 21-year-old Mason Barron, both residents of Los Angeles, along with 19-year-old Byron Lee, a resident of Compton, were arrested and booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio for robbery and burglary.
