Palm Springs Swim Center will reopen again to the public on Wednesday, Jan. 19.

 

Following an outbreak of employee exposures to COVID-19 that necessitated the closure of the Palm Springs Swim Center, the City would like to advise the community that the Swim Center will reopen again to the public on Wednesday, Jan. 19.

Pool hours are 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., seven days a week with reservations required from 7 a.m. – noon. Drop-ins are accepted from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. For more information, call Recreation at (760) 323-8272 or visit palmspringsca.gov.

Other City facilities remain temporarily closed to walk-in traffic due to a surge in COVID-19 cases that continues to impact the community at large as well as City Staff. The following changes are now in effect and will be re-evaluated as new data about COVID cases becomes available.

• City Clerk, Planning, Engineering, Building, Business license and other services are now available by phone call, or email. Appointments will be accepted for work that cannot reasonably be done by phone or email from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday- Thursday.

• The Palm Springs Public Library is now closed to the public, but continues to offer its popular Library-A-Go-Go Program which allows residents to reserve and pick up materials by visiting pslibrary.org or calling (760) 322-READ. The Library’s passport program continues to be available by appointment only.

• Parks and Recreation is now offering outdoor programming only.
