Possession of narcotics and more has landed a Desert Hot Springs man behind bars

DESERT HOT SPRINGS — A 23-year-old male from Desert Hot Springs was arrested March 15 for possession of narcotics for sales, possession of a firearm with narcotics and possession of a short barrel rifle, according to Sgt. Paul Heredia of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Gang Task Force Officers arrested Arthur Eugene Uribe Jr. who was subsequently transported to the John Benoit Detention Center and booked.

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 5:00 P.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force, with the assistance of California Highway Patrol K-9 Team, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 66000 block of Cahuilla Avenue in Desert Hot Springs. During the service of the search warrant, Gang Task Force Officers located illegal narcotics, including cocaine and psilocybin, and a short barrel AR-15 rifle.
