PSPD Seeks Help in Identifying Bar Assault Suspect

PSPD Detectives Seek Community Assistance Identifying Suspect Involved in Bar Assault

PALM SPRINGS — Detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who was involved in a downtown bar assault in May.

The incident happened on Saturday, May 20, just after 10:15 p.m. PSPD officers responded to reports of an assault a local bar, on the 200 Block of North Palm Canyon Drive.

Officers contacted the victim, who stated he was assaulted by a man and as a result suffered significant injuries, which required surgery.

With the cooperation of local establishments, PSPD officers obtained surveillance footage to help identify the suspect.  He is described as a heavy-set Hispanic and/or white male, with short dark hair. He was wearing reading glasses and a purple Lakers jersey. The suspect also has tattoos around both of his shoulders, according to a police news release.
