Palm Springs Police Officers’ Association Endorses Will Rollins for Congress

CORONA—In an about face from 2022, the Palm Springs Police Officers’ Association this month formally endorsed Democrat Will Rollins in California’s 41st Congressional District over his Republican opponent Ken Calvert.

“As a prosecutor, I worked closely with local law enforcement, and that is exactly why I have so much admiration and respect for the enormous sacrifice they make to protect our communities,” said Rollins of Palm Springs. “Law enforcement puts their lives on the line every day, and they deserve a Member of Congress who always has their back. I promise that I will be that member.”

“Will Rollins is the common-sense, pro-law enforcement candidate in this race, and we’re proud to endorse his candidacy for Congress,” Mike Torres, Vice President of the Palm Springs Police Officers’ Association said in a statement. “As a former federal prosecutor with a 99% prosecution rate, Rollins has hands-on experience keeping Riverside County families safe from threats like the Sinaloa Cartel and MS-13. We need an ally in Congress who will work across the aisle to ensure our officers have the resources they need and put the safety of this district first — and that’s Will Rollins. Our officers’ association is proud to support him in his race to represent California’s 41st.”

The endorsement is the latest sign of momentum swinging behind Rollins’ campaign. In April, the International Law Enforcement Officers Association backed Rollins’ bid for the 41st Congressional District. And in the 2022 cycle, Rollins received other key support from the law enforcement community when former Riverside County Sheriff Stan Sniff endorsed Rollins’ candidacy, along with the National Security Leaders for America.
