Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa at Indian Wells featured in premiere episode of ABC’S “The Bachelorette”

INDIAN WELLS —Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa, which has recently experienced a multi-million-dollar reimagination, stole the show as the scenic backdrop site for the Season 18 premiere of ABC’s hit romance reality series “The Bachelorette,” which aired Tuesday, Oct. 19.

“We are delighted to be a part of “The Bachelorette” and the premiere of its 18th successful season,” said Tim Pyne, general manager of the 560-room resort. “We wish Michelle Young the best on her journey to love,” he added. The stunning pair of grand staircases played prominently in the episode.

The resort offers luxury in the desert. A heated pool has a beach feel with a sandy “shore.” The spa offers a full menu of treatments. Rooms have panoramic views of the 36-hold golf course and of course, our beautiful mountains. According to the hotel website, the golf club has been featured in Golfweek’s “Top 20 Courses to Play” in California.

Mayor Richard Balocco told Uken Report that, “The City of Indian Wells is honored to have our beautiful community and the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa showcased on the ‘small screen’ as the backdrop for the newest season of ABC’s ‘The Bachelorette.’ This opportunity not only shows the nation what Indian Wells has to offer, but also helps our community recover economically from the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic through increased transient occupancy tax, tourism and exposure. We encourage all to visit our City for the ultimate ‘Bachelorette’ experience.”

ABC reports the following about the upcoming season of “The Bachelorette,” “After appearing in the 25th season of ‘The Bachelor,’ Michelle Young immediately stole the bachelor’s attention, along with the hearts of millions of Americans who fell in love with her captivating smile and charming sense of humor. A former Division I basketball player from Minnesota, the 28-year-old fifth-grade teacher now focuses on preparing her students to be the next generation of community leaders. Michelle has big dreams for the future and is ready to find a man who is supportive and prepared to change the world with her.”

This isn’t the first time The Bachelorette has been filmed in the desert. In 2020, the show was filmed exclusively at the La Quinta Resort & Club for Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adam’s season. Back in 2017, then-bachelorette Rachel Lindsay filmed a date at the Palm Springs home of actor Kirk Douglas.

Located in the heart of the Greater Palm Springs Area, between Palm Desert and La Quinta, just 16 miles from Palm Springs Airport and an easy two-hour drive east of Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, the Renaissance Esmeralda offers everything vacationers are seeking – impeccable service; a choice of elegant, comfortable guest rooms and suite configurations; satisfying dining and drinking venues featuring local ingredients and seasonal menus; Spa Esmeralda; nearby championship golf courses; fitness center; a host of exhilarating outdoor activities; and an array of exciting adventures for couples, families and friends.
