Republican women, specifically East Valley Republican Women Patriots, lay groundwork for victories

PALM DESERT — The unofficial start of the election season is after Labor Day, but East Valley Republican Women Patriots are not letting an arbitrary date guide their actions.

On Wednesday, Aug. 31, Greg Wallis, candidate for Assembly District 47, will join the women to call voters to let them know who Wallis is. They are billing it as “Wine Wednesdays.”

The phone bank will occur from 4 p.m.  to 7 p.m. at 73995 El Paseo.

“We can win the fight for AD 47, but we need to tell as many voters as possible how Greg differs from his opponent and will get California back on track,” they say in promoting the phone bank.

Wallis, a longtime district advisor for Assemblymember Chad Mayes, is running as a Republican in the newly drawn Assembly District 47, which includes Palm Springs and several other Coachella Valley cities. Wallis will face off with Palm Springs Councilmember Christy Holstege, a Democrat.
