Riverside County and Faith in Motion Host Free Community Event on Monday to Recruit Foster Families

INDIAN WELLS —Have you ever thought about fostering or adopting a child? You can take the first step towards changing a child’s life Monday May 12.

More than 3,300 children in Riverside County are in out-of-home care due to abuse or neglect—and the need for safe, loving foster families continues to grow, especially in desert communities.

Riverside County’s Department of Public Social Services, in collaboration with Faith in Motion, will host a free informational event to help residents learn about becoming foster or adoptive families—and how local faith communities are walking alongside families every step of the way.

EVENT DETAILS

  • Who: Riverside County DPSS, Faith in Motion, foster parents, and local faith-based community partners
  • What: A community outreach event featuring a panel discussion and question and answer session in English and Spanish.
  • Attendees will receive information on fostering, adoption, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Where: Southwest Church, 44-175 Washington Street, Indian Wells, CA 92210
  • When: Monday May 12 | 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
