No Injuries Reported in Shooting in Palm Desert
PALM DESERT — A shooting here on Thursday night remains under investigation this morning, Lt. Paul Heredia said.
On Feb. 22, at 9:51 p.m., deputies assigned to the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to the 73000 block of Highway 111, Palm Desert, regarding a report of multiple shots fired in the area.
Upon arrival, deputies located evidence of a shooting, including numerous shell casings. Additionally, deputies located bullet impact marks on businesses in the area. A search was conducted, and no injured persons or signs of injured parties were found.
During the search, Coachella Valley Violent Crime and Gang Task Force Officers assisting on the scene located two loaded handguns in close proximity to the area of the shooting. Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station Investigations Bureau responded and assumed the investigation. This investigation is ongoing, and no additional details are available at this time.
