CATHEDRAL CITY —  The S.C.R.A.P. Gallery wants you to be part of a very special delivery for healthcare, food, and grocery store employees who are working diligently to make sure residents receive supplies and medical care they need at this critical time in the nation’s history.

To that end, S.C.R.A.P Galley has launched MAP, mail art project, which  consists of post cards, notes, letters and envelopes creatively reconfigured and sent through the mail.

Collage, recycled materials, rubber stamps, paint, poetry, notes – anything that can be put
in or on an envelope and sent via post will be accepted.

The Gallery will exhibit work online and then deliver them to frontline workers. This art thank
you is open to everyone all over the map.

If teachers and artists need materials, let S.C.R.A.P. Gallery know and it will mail you materials. For
more information, send an email to: karen@scrapgallery.org or call 760/861-6479

The mission of the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery is to actively engage youth as stewards of their environment through a concentrated, hands-on, educational effort stressing the Four R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Responsibility.

The S.C.R.A.P. Gallery is an innovative program that addresses two of today’s most urgent issues – the environment and the education of our youth. Conservation and reuse through hands-on exploration with discarded materials is promoted at the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery. Arts and science workshops help students understand complex environmental issues. Materials donated by local businesses and manufacturers are available for reuse by teachers, artists and community programs.

The deadline for entries is May 28, 2020.
