City Council Continues Search for City Manager

CATHEDRAL CITY — After meeting in closed session twice last week to interview candidates for city manager, the City Council is scheduled to once again meet in closed session Wednesday to discuss the vacancy.

The City Council is scheduled to meet in closed session on Wednesday, at 3 p.m. during its study session. The City Attorney is required to read out any reportable actions after closed session.

The number of candidates vying for the job has not been released. Mayor Raymond Gregory would not say whether a name will be put forth for consideration on Wednesday.

Anne Ambrose has been acting city manager since Charlie McClendon left in September. Ambrose said months ago that she would not apply for the permanent position.
