State of the City Address in La Quinta Adds a New Twist in 2022

Gone is a stuffy conference room that typically serves as the backdrop for LaQuinta’s annual state of the city address this year.

State of City Address Sports New Vibe in La Quinta

Past State of the City Address

Instead, Mayor Linda Evans is hosting a special edition called “The La Quinta Spring Business Update”.  It’s the City’s first Business Outlook and Economic address in nearly a year. They won’t host anything else like this for at least another six months. The event is set for Wednesday April 6 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the new SilverRock Park, 51-900 Silverrock Way.

This outdoor evening event offers food from acclaimed, local La Quinta eateries – RdRnnr and Los Arcos – as well as desserts, live entertainment, and no-host bar service.  Tickets are limited to the first 250 guests. Purchase an individual ticket, or a table. For additional information contact the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber at 760-347-0676 or purchase tickets by clicking here.

In the case of this event, the city is doing something a little different to better serve and connect with its local businesses. The City’s designed this event to deliver the typical information you want to hear in an abbreviated fashion. They’ve also designated time and means for you to directly mix-n-mingle with the City Council members and City Management staff for real dialogue and relationship building.

And, in Mayor Evans’ typical style, there will be a live band and a few restaurants catering the event. Organizers say it will be a “fun event, with great food & entertainment.”

The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of La Quinta, and presenting sponsor Desert Care Network, invite you to a one-of-a-kind evening of eating, entertainment, and an economic outlook for the City of La Quinta.
