“I’m a big believer in the power of determination to achieve the American Dream,” Chandi Group USA Founder/CEO Nachhattar Chandi said in a statement. He will present Martha’s Village & Kitchen with a ceremonial check on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. at Martha’s Village & Kitchen, 83971 Date Avenue in Indio. “The Stomp Out Hunger campaign was a tremendous success, and these funds will go toward helping families and individuals in our community get the assistance they need. We’re proud to have partnered with Martha’s Village & Kitchen in this effort and thank all who donated.”

All participating Coachella Valley Chandi Group USA gas stations and quick-service restaurants contributed to the campaign, which launched in November and continued through the new year. For every $1 donation made to Martha’s Village & Kitchen, participants received a free soft drink along with a pin-up to personalize and display at the location.

“We’d like to thank Chandi Group USA for facilitating this campaign, and the local community for its generosity,” said Samuel Hollenbeck, President and CEO of Matha’s Village & Kitchen. “Our programs and services help people regain their lives by becoming healthy, self-sufficient and productive members of our community. We believe that changing one life can positively impact generations of lives.”
