In recent years, many families either skipped the traditional Thanksgiving dinner or gobbled it down so fast they barely tasted it — all to get to the store for those big holiday deals.
You know the ones – those that were traditionally saved for Black Friday. But, hoping to grab more of shoppers’ wallets, many retailers started opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day.
Many, however, are putting the brakes on that activity.
So, if you’re thinking of skipping the turkey for Target, you might want to make sure it’s open first. More than 75 well-known retailers are expected to be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23. Some are opting to remain closed on Black Friday.
To date, this is the official list of stores that will be closed on Thanksgiving Day in 2017, according to BestBlackFriday.com. Staff personally confirmed the closed status with a representative from each of these retailers, and the list will be updated daily as more stores make their decision.
