Assemblymember Greg Wallis to Host Touch-A-Truck: Community Safety Fair in Cathedral City
RANCHO MIRAGE – Assemblymember Greg Wallis is partnering with Desert Recreation District to host a Touch-A-Truck: Community Safety Fair at Panorama Park, bringing together families, first responders, and public safety partners for a free, hands-on community event focused on safety education and engagement.
In the first-of-its-kind evet, some sights to see will be the Riverside Sheriff’s Office helicopter, fire engines, mobile command units, the Mosquito Vector Control drone and more.
The event will give children and families the opportunity to get up close with real emergency vehicles, meet the first responders who serve the Coachella Valley and beyond, and learn important safety lessons through interactive demonstrations and activities. From climbing aboard fire engines to exploring public safety equipment, the event is designed to be both educational and engaging for all ages.
Participating agencies will include the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the California Highway Patrol, CAL FIRE, and the Coachella Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District. Free car seat safety checks and additional safety resources will be available for families.
This community safety fair reflects Assemblymember Wallis’s ongoing commitment to public safety, family engagement, and strengthening relationships between residents and first responders throughout Assembly District 47.
