United States Army Field Band to present free patriotic concert Feb. 17 at Palm Springs Convention Center

Palm Springs – Feb. 2, 2022 –  The world famous United States Army Field Band from Washington D.C. is coming to Palm Springs!

Local residents are invited to attend a free patriotic concert called “This We’ll Defend,” performed by the renowned band of musical soldiers at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, 277 N. Avenida Caballeros.

Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours is required for entry and masks must be worn indoors.

From Boston to Baghdad, Tampa to Toronto, the United States Army Field Band, known as the Musical Ambassadors of the Army, have been thrilling audiences of all ages for more than six decades. As the premier touring musical representative for the United States Army, this internationally-acclaimed organization travels thousands of miles each year presenting a variety of music to enthusiastic audiences throughout the nation and abroad.

Since its formation in 1946, the United States Army Field Band has appeared in all 50 states and in more than 30 countries on four continents. The organization’s four performing components include the Concert Band, the Soldiers’ Chorus, the Jazz Ambassadors, and Six-String Soldiers. The Field Band is considered by music critics to be one of the most versatile and inspiring musical organizations in the world.
