First Vallarta Location in Riverside County Features Tap Room

INDIO – Vallarta Supermarkets, one of the largest Latino-owned supermarket chains in California, announced the grand opening of its 52nd store today in Indio.

Mayor Glenn A. Miller, local officials and dignitaries joined Vallarta Supermarket’s executive team for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, following public health guidelines, to mark the official grand opening.

The new store is the first Vallarta location in Riverside County at 40,000 square feet and is located at 42425 Jackson St. near Showcase Parkway. The opening of the new Indio Vallarta Supermarket offers the community a new go-to destination for fresh, quality products, outstanding service and great prices. It is also the first Vallarta to feature a Sayulita Tap Room, a full-service bar featuring an eclectic beer selection, hand-crafted cocktails and a small bites menu that includes chorizo sliders, potato balls, wings, pizza, ceviche and tacos.

“We are thrilled to bring the Vallarta experience to Riverside County with our 52nd store during
Hispanic Heritage Month,” Andrew Lewis, Vice President of Marketing for Vallarta Supermarkets, said in a prepared statement. “Vallarta is proud to serve the Indio community with the best Latino products
and delicious cuisine and we’ll work hard to become the supermarket of choice for our new neighbors.”

The new Vallarta Supermarket will also have a positive economic impact bringing 160 new jobs
to the local community.

Vallarta offers a wide variety of food products and services including: “La Cocina” (Authentic
Mexican Taqueria and Kitchen) with delectable recipes serving authentic meals and even fresh
sushi prepared daily by an in-house sushi chef. Customers will also be offered a full-service

Vallarta Supermarkets, known as the “Home of the Original Carne Asada,” also has a full-service
Carniceria (meat department) and seafood department offering fresh, top grade meats, poultry,
and seafood, along with grass-fed and organic selections. The Panaderia (bakery) will be serving

and more. The Tortilleria will produce freshly made tortillas and masa for customers’ tamale
making needs. The Produce Department will offer the highest quality and a wide variety of
