Free Senior Scam Stopper Seminar℠ Set for Friday, October 2nd
PALM SPRINGS — Scammers don’t stop coming up with new tricks, and staying one step ahead matters, which is why Assemblymember Greg Wallis is holding Scam Stopper Seminar.
Senior fraud is rising in California, with adults 60+ losing over $1.4 billion in 2024, and scammers often exploit personal data to appear trustworthy, according to the CalPrivacy Public & External Affairs Division.
Whether this is your first seminar or you’ve joined Wallis before, you’re likely to hear something new. Sometimes one updated warning sign or one new scam tactic is all it takes to recognize when something isn’t right.
That’s why Wallis is partnering with the Mizell Center to host a free Senior Scam Stopper Seminar℠ on Friday, October 2nd.

Representatives from several state agencies will be joining us to provide information on common scams, answer questions, and share resources to help you protect yourself and your finances.
