Anti-Israel Protestors Vandalize Calvert Office

Rep. Ken Calvert’s campaign office side door vandalized.

CORONA – Sometime during the weekend, a side entrance to Congressman Ken Calvert’s campaign office was spray painted over in red with “♡ Gaza” and “Free Palestine.” Today, Calvert released the following statement after anti-Israel protesters vandalized his campaign office in Corona.

Congressman Calvert has been an outspoken supporter of Israel. The vandalism comes weeks after the House passed Calvert’s legislation, the Israel Security Assistance Support Act, which compels the Biden administration to deliver the arms support Israel needs to finish Hamas.

“I want to make myself clear: my support of Israel is steadfast and attempts to intimidate me or my staff by vandalism will not deter me. Antisemitic hate has festered all across the country because radical leftists lack the moral clarity to stand for what’s right,” Calvert said in a statement. “We will be working with law enforcement to find the responsible parties and ensure they are held responsible.”

Calvert, who has been in Congress since the 1990s, is seeking re-election to the 41st Congressional District which includes cities in the Coachella Valley, including Palm Springs, La Quinta and Palm Desert. The District stretches west from the valley to Corona, Menifee and elsewhere in Riverside County. Will Rollins, a former federal prosecutor who lives in Palm Springs, is challenging him.
