Barry Manilow to Moderate Q&A at Palm Springs Plaza Theatre Foundation Fundraiser

PALM SPRINGS — Music icon Barry Manilow will moderate a Q&A following the screening of a rare collection of film and video highlights celebrating the career of music industry titan Clive Davis. The event will be held at the Palm Springs Art Museum on Friday, Oct. 3.

The Palm Springs Plaza Theatre Foundation is hosting the screening of “Do You Remember?” to raise money for the Theatre’s renovation.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Q & A with Manilow. General admission is $75 and VIP admission is $150 (includes an exclusive post-event reception).

“We are honored to offer this special screening here in Palm Springs and share the life story of a man that has had such an impact on the record industry. Also, a tireless humanitarian, Clive’s legacy deserves to be shared,” Plaza Theatre Foundation Vice President Kevin J. Corcoran said in a statement. “This special event is a fundraiser for the Palm Springs Plaza Theatre Foundation in conjunction with our friends and partners at the Palm Springs Art Museum and the Annenberg Theater, and we are grateful for their support.”

“Do You Remember?” is a new, unreleased celebration of the music that defined generations—from Whitney to Santana, Aretha to Alicia, Biggie to Barry—and the visionary who helped bring it all to life. The film, produced by Mark Ronson and coproduced by Erich Bergen, is a rare opportunity to see how Davis helped shape the music industry and is a front-row seat to music history. Not a documentary nor a lecture, the film is an electrifying visual mixtape of chart-topping hits, music videos, and rare footage highlighting Davis’ legendary career.

The Palm Springs Art Museum is located at 101 Museum Drive in Palm Springs. Tickets are available at https://www.psmuseum.org/plaza. The event will raise funds to support the restoration of the Plaza Theatre, which will re-open in December 2025.
