Democrat-Commissioned Poll Shows Bianco in Lead

RIVERSIDE — Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, a Republican gubernatorial hopeful, is narrowly leading the crowded primary field to replace outgoing California Gov. Gavin Newsom, according to a new poll commissioned by one of the Democratic candidates in the race and reported in Newsweek.

Bianco’s Gubernatorial campaign released the following statement regarding three recent public polls showing that his campaign to elect a Sheriff as the next Governor of California is resonating with voters:

“Sacramento is home to more crime than any other city due to Gavin Newsom and his enablers stealing from Californians,” Bianco said in a prepared statement. “They are spending billions to fund government programs for illegal immigrants, fund political power grabs, building a new temple to government with little to no oversight, and in the meantime, there is no money for first responders, families trying to rebuild their lives, or tax relief. Californians need a Sheriff as their next Governor to restore sanity in Sacramento.”

Newsom, a prominent Democrat and rumored 2028 presidential contender, has led California since 2019, as Newsweek reported. The state, which is a Democratic stronghold, hasn’t had a Republican governor since Arnold Schwarzenegger left office in 2011.

Uken Report caught up with Bianco briefly recently to touch base   on the campaign. “I’m having fun,” Bianco said, his voice filled with joy, He spoke of campaigning in towns he’s never before visited and how invigorating it is.

Bianco and his wife, Denise, have been working in tandem as they tirelessly crisscross the state delivering his message,

The latest public polling was conducted by Democratic pollster Ben Tulchin on behalf of Villaraigosa’s campaign, according to Newsweek. It showed four candidates in close contention, but Bianco, who has been the sheriff for Riverside County since 2019, came out on top with a very slim lead.

Donald TrumpBianco, a supporter of President Donald Trump, had the highest level of support in the survey at 20 percent. Villaraigosa came in second at 19 percent, and GOP candidate Hilton, a former Fox News host and current contributor to the network, was third at 18 percent. Porter placed fourth with 15 percent.

President Trump even issued a message on his social media platform. (See above).
