Sheriff Chad Bianco is Selling Himself as Defender of Second Amendment

Bianco Touts Self as Second Amendment CandidateRIVERSIDE — In the final days and weeks of the California gubernatorial campaign, Sheriff Chad Bianco is branding himself as a champion of the Second Amendment.

“I am the only candidate on the ballot with an infallible record of protecting and defending your constitutional and God given rights,” according to a social media post. “ALL OF THEM. 10-million-gun owners in California can make the difference. Your vote matters! I’ve got you California! Bianco 2026.”

The Gun Owners of California, the Gun Owners of America and the National Rifle Association have all endorsed him.

Despite what some people describe as him “pandering” to voters, Bianco told Uken Report that “by chance” he received last-minute endorsements from gun and pro Second Amendment organizations.

“They are trying to convince gun owners that their vote does matter,” Bianco told Uken Report. “Out of 10-million-gun owners in the state, 8 million don’t vote.”

Bianco has been using his own Concealed Carry Permit program to show that concealed weapons “are not bad.” Listen to him here.

Bianco said his program is a “great example” for the rest of the state.

The number of CCW permits issued in Riverside County has surged since Bianco was elected in 2018. He has always maintained that he is simply giving the people what they want.

Through the end of 2018, 3,400 concealed carry permits had been issued, according to Bianco. As of May 26, approximately 60,000 CCWs have been issued, according to Lt. Deirdre Vickers, public information officer.
