COACHELLA – The City of Coachella will be hosting their annual Independence Day celebration at Bagdouma Park on Friday, July from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This free family event will feature a handful of carnival rides and games, live music with The Delgado Band, a variety of local food vendors and a fireworks grand finale.

“Coachella is looking forward to kicking off the July 4th weekend with a big celebration for all to enjoy,” said Mayor Steven Hernandez.

As in years past, this event will feature a variety of fun activities for guests of all ages including carnival games such as the balloon dart, ring toss and bushel basket toss, and rides will include Round Up, Swing and the Frog. Several food vendors will be onsite throughout the course of the event selling refreshing treats, hot plates and finger foods.

“This is a feel-good event that we look forward to every year. Our residents always enjoy coming together for the fun, food and of course, the epic fireworks show, “stated Councilwoman Megan Beaman Jacinto.
