Two People Behind Bars Following Call of Commercial Burglary
PALM DESERT — Two people were nabbed this week in connection with a call deputies of the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to on May 9 on the 74000 block of Highway 111, regarding a commercial burglary, Sgt. Rovann Cleveland reported.
The victim notified staff that a motorcycle and firearm had been stolen from the business. Members of the Palm Desert Burglar Suppression Unit assumed the investigation.
On May 10, members of the Palm Desert Station were able to locate the stolen motorcycle at the 45000 block of Panorama Drive. Members of the Burglar Suppression Unit, with the assistance of Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team, and Indian Wells Special Enforcement Team, served a search at the location. During the investigation, the stolen motorcycle and firearm were recovered. As a result, John Schiavone 40- years-old of Palm Desert was arrested for burglary.
While at the location, members of the Indian Wells Special Enforcement Team located and arrested Sjannine Vanzant, 38-year-old of Palm Desert, who was wanted for multiple thefts and credit card fraud within the cities of Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, and Indian Wells.
Schiavone and Vanzant were booked at John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
