On Saturday, Jan. 26 Democrats have an opportunity to elect the Delegates to represent Assembly District 42 that will help make these really important decisions, Williamson said in a letter to the membership. Seven women and seven men will be elected.

Democratic delegates from Assembly District 56 were elected earlier this month. Results are available by clicking here.

Assembly District Delegates to the Democratic State Central Committee (DSCC) are responsible for planning and attending informational meetings throughout the region and working with other DSCC delegates throughout California to represent their community.

Assembly District Delegates vote on behalf of the community they represent at California Democratic Party regional meetings and the California Democratic Party Convention. Those who are also elected to serve as an Executive Board member are responsible for voting and representing their community at the semi-annual Executive Board meetings.

The 2019 California Democratic Party State Convention will be held May 31 – June 2, 2019 in San Francisco.
