Desert Healthcare District & Foundation Provides Assistance for Nonprofits to Complete Audits [Sponsored]
One of the requirements that applicants for full grants from the Desert Healthcare District & Foundation must fulfill during the application process is the submission of a financial audit. (A full grant is any amount above $10,000.)
Because small nonprofit organizations may not have the funds to conduct an audit, the agency provides financial assistance to those that are eligible.

Financial Audit Support
The Desert Healthcare District & Foundation requires an audit from organizations seeking a grant above $10,000. The District may provide financial assistance with completing the audit.
To be eligible, organizations must meet these 7 requirements:
- The organization has never had an audit conducted;
- Have a 501 (c)3 designation;
- Have an annual revenue of $500,000 or less;
- Be a health and wellness mission-driven organization;
- Demonstrate financial hardship to complete audits; Demonstrate ability to pay for its audit after three years of District support (An organization may not use a District & Foundation mini-grant or full grant to request assistance with an audit.);
- Demonstrate ability to secure additional funds during the time the District supports the organization.
- Once the required documents are approved by the District, organizations may be eligible to receive audit support for up to 3 years.
- Financial assistance with completing an audit may also be available to organizations not seeking a District grant if they meet all other requirements.

El Desert Healthcare District & Foundation exige una auditoría a las organizaciones que solicitan subvenciones superiores a $10,000. El Distrito puede proporcionar ayuda financiera para realizar la auditoría.
