Desert Healthcare District to host community meetings on Tenet Health Lease [Sponsored]

Desert Healthcare District is holding a series of community meetings to share the latest news and information regarding Tenet Health’s lease proposal. These meetings will secure public feedback on a decision that will impact the entire Coachella Valley. As is required by law, a future ballot measure is necessary to approve any lease extension offer.

The Desert Healthcare District Board of Directors is currently evaluating the Tenet Health lease proposal, in addition to possibly:

• Reassuming hospital operations
• Eventually seeking an alternative hospital operator

These meetings will determine a path forward on the Desert Regional Medical Center lease and Tenet’s lease proposal.

• March 5 – Miracle Springs in Desert Hot Springs
• March 19 – Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coachella Valley, Mecca: 91391 66th Ave., Mecca
• April 2 – Palm Springs/Cathedral City/Rancho Mirage
• April 16 – Indio/Coachella
• April 30 – Palm Desert/La Quinta/Indian Wells

All meetings will be held on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. Date, time, and location are subject to change.
