Desert Sands Unified School District prepares for second Annual Districtwide Art Show
Paintings, works on paper, sculpture, fashion, graphic arts, and more will be on display at Reconnecting: Listen, Learn, Grow Together — Students Speak Through the Arts Exhibition. The exhibit features Desert Sands Unified School District students.
The exhibition opening is being held on Tuesday, April 4, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the District Education Center. The art show will run through the early months of the 2023-2024 school year and be displayed throughout the building and the adjacent building.
The first districtwide art exhibition was held last school year and both exhibitions have been funded by sponsors including members of the Artists Council, the La Quinta Arts Foundation, and the Desert Sands Educational Foundation.
Dance performances by the Nickerson-Rossi Dance Company will be featured as well as student performed music. Refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
