Jadabug’s Kids Boutique, a vibrant shop for babies and toddlers, is expanding to The River in Rancho Mirage, and will have its grand opening on Dec. 16, featuring Santa Claus, princesses, superheroes and boxer Timothy Bradley.

The new Jadabug’s is located next door to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, between the Century Theatres at the River and the Cheesecake Factory. Jadabug's Opens at The River

Owner Heidi McArthur said the opportunity to expand into Rancho Mirage, and in a premiere facility like The River, was too good an offer to pass up.

“We feel like we would be a great match with The River, and ideal for the residents of Rancho Mirage with their distinct taste for the finer things in life,” McArthur said in  prepared statement. “The River is perfectly situated at the center of the Coachella Valley.”

The grand opening will feature a ribbon cutting with the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce, a book signing by four-time boxing world champion Timothy Bradley, and appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, princesses and superheroes.

Bradley will also have a book signing for “Hard to Heart,” written by former Los Angeles Times sports editor Bill Dwyre. The book is published by Rancho Mirage-based Back Story Publishing.

Proceeds from the Grand Opening will be donated to two local children to help them with their health care bills and needs. Riley Rose, 6, has neuroblastoma. McArthur was  Rose’s nanny.

McArthur has built Jadabug’s reputation with her experience and knowledge of children, having owned a childcare for 14 years and raising two boys. Jadabug’s offers premium collections from brands such as Nuna Clek, Brixxy, Spooner, Aden + Anais, JuJuBe and many more.

The original Jadabug’s is located at 78377 CA-111 in La Quinta.
